Who was Joe Hill?

Joe was executed on November, 19th 1915 in Salt Lake City, Utah for a crime he had not committed. Joe joined strikes and uprisings in the US, Canada and Mexico. He wrote and sang inflammatory, heretical and humorous songs for struggling workers that were spread around the globe. He was a Wobbly.

An International Solidarity Movement tried to save his life. Joe declined to testify on court or to beg the governor for pardon. He tried to reach a new and fair trial. His last will: „Do not mourn – but organize!“.

Fund Raiser for Prisoners Union
